DIMENSION makes lead investment in Sango Technologies, operator of the next-generation social media app “TapNow,” which has surpassed 1 million downloads

DIMENSION Corporation (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takamitsu Miyaso; hereafter, DIMENSION) announces its lead investment in Sango Technologies Inc. (headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yuma Noma; hereafter, Sango Technologies), the operator of the next-generation social media application “TapNow.”

Developed and operated by Sango Technologies, “TapNow” is a next-generation social media app that allows users to casually communicate by sending photos to their friends’ home screens using the widget on their smartphones. It offers the enjoyment of having photos on the home screen updated at unexpected moments, the convenience of sharing photos directly from the widget without opening the app, and a sense of exclusivity by allowing sharing only with desired recipients. The app’s features include sharing interesting photos with a boyfriend or girlfriend and friends in everyday life and feeling connected with loved ones.

DIMENSION was drawn to TapNow’s innovative concept of sharing daily life without the pressure of creating content for social media “likes,” as well as company president Noma’s expertise in the advertising industry and international business, and his vision for early-stage international expansion. Because of these factors, we have decided to become the lead investor.

Through this investment, DIMENSION will support Sango Technologies’ slogan of “Surprising the World with Services from Asia.” Furthermore, we will continue to invest in and support entrepreneurs who are dedicated and sincere in their management efforts.
